ACEarts Somerton – Hanging by a Thread
ACEarts Somerton new exhibition features works by textile artists Angela Knapp and Kara Chambers. Opening 17th August to 28th September it promises to showcase exceptional skill in textile art.
The theme of the exhibition centres around the challenges that nature faces in finding habitats. Angela’s artwork focuses on birds, which were once common but now facing drastic decline.
Kara, finds inspiration in the simple act of hand sewing. For her, the process is a meditative one that slows the world down and deepens her understanding and appreciation of nature.
